Vermilion, Aspect and EPH submitted bids for O&G acreages in Ukraine

Nine block opened for PSA tenders in February have received today 22 bids from 13 companies.

Among offerors are large Canadian company Vermilion Energy, joined its bids with state-owned UGV, US private equity firm Sigma Bleyzer together with Texas-based producer Aspect Energy, and Slovak E&P company Nafta, backed by sizable European energy holding EPH. 

Sofiivska parcel is pointed as the most interesting, nominated by 5 companies (UGV/Vermilion, EPH, DTEK O&G, GeoAlliance, Ukrnafta). 

Regarding a number of bids, the champion is UGV (9 applications, 5 – single, 4 – joined with Vermilion Energy), four Ukrainian producers made 2 bids each (UNB, Ukrnafta, DTEK, Zakhidnadraservice), 1 bid was pointed by each US Sigma/Aspect, Czech EPH, and Ukrainian companies GeoAlliance, Navigator Komplekt and EuroGas Ukraine. 

The Intergovernmental Commission has to evaluate the bids within one month and make its recommendations to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to select the winner.
